We have seen the papers yesterday. The Minister for Telecommunications Mr Kapil Sibal refuted the CAG report. He says the loss to the exchequer is actually nil.
When we discuss about the Spectrum issue, I use to tell my friends that this issue will be backfired at the CAG himself. The backfire begins now. Mr. Sibal states that the estimate of the loss by the CAG is based on the prices of 3G spectrum. CAG report itself has been audited by the Ministry. So the loss is a presumptive loss. That is the loss is calculated based on the prices of 6.2 Mega Hertz bandwidth. This is the 3G bandwidth. The actual bandwidth of 2G is 4.4MHz. That’s how Mr. Sibal arrives his decision that there has been no loss to the exchequer, even if it is, it is meager.
If that is true, what is the cost of the defamation of the government? What is the reimbursement for the expenses of one full parliament session? What is the cost of the defamation done to Mr. Raja by the Oppositions, especially by AIADMK? Okay! Done is done! Bygones be bygones. But even today, the opposition successfully suppress the statement of Mr.Kapilsibal through their medias.
Very sad!
