A Reply to the comment on 'WHAT THE HELL'

I received an fierce, rather angry comment on the article titled ‘What the hell?’.  You can have a look at it, clicking the comment link below the article.

1.    Comment
When a person goes to another country, they have to follow the rules of that country. Indians have a problem of taking everything personally very soon. They make it a matter of pride even when its not required. Wouldn't the Indian govt. do something of the same sort if they did not want people from some other country to disappear. Of-course, the Indian govt does not have a budget to radio collar people, and secondly, even if they did have a budget, it would still be impossible for them to keep a track of all the illegal immigrants coming into India everyday. Weather its from countries like Burma, or Bangladesh or Srilanka or Nepal.
2.        As far as your comment on sexual maturity of the kids in the US is concerned, I really do not understand how was that related to the main topic??? Or do you think kids in India do not reach sexual maturity or aren't sexually active till they turn 16-17??? Or are you still living in denial???
3.        If they have condom machines on campus, then maybe you should appreciate them on taking steps to stop STDs and more specifically AIDS. Or maybe you dont know that the age of consent for sex in some states in a country like India is 12years?
4.       Indian school and colleges teach things that are obsolete, things which most students never make use of in their entire life. Maybe thats why , engineering students in India are studying MBA, and those with an MBA, work in a sector which has nothing to do with MBA. Why the misdirection? Studying abroad is lucrative because a foreign degree will get you an edge in the jobs market anywhere in the world. And isnt that what everyone wants? A better chance than the others in today's competitive, cut throat world??
5.       As far as the quality of education is concerned, countries like USA have institutions like MIT, Harvard which contribute to the nation as well, apart from educating people. What have institutions like IIMs and IITs done for India? Except for contributing to the rat race, suicides, and increasing their tuition fees manyfold???

Open your eyes, and come out of the denial you are living in.

Dear Friend,
I am bound to answer on the anonymous comment. I have to separate the accusations first.

1.     No doubt, the migrants have to follow the laws of the land. But my friend, there is a law above all the laws-that is natural law. Natural law includes human rights also. I am not talking about luxurious Human Rights. How can you justify a state imposing radio collars for migrated students? Are they criminals with any previous records? That’s what you wanna say? If that’s the case I would support the tracking. The immigration have to be controlled to keep the social balance. But no country chains its immigrants. They may be watched-like how we do with the Srilankan refugees, but not like this. Simple solution is this-collect their biometric data (like finger prints-body fluid samples etc) and catch them if something happens.

2.      About the sexual maturity of the children- I wrote that ‘99 out of 100 sexually excel before they enter eighth grade’.   I was talking about the cultural decay of the western society. I don’t actually subscribe to the ‘CULTURAL’ crap. I am no fascist. But my friend, Sex is a hidden treasure. One can explore and enjoy sex completely at the end of teenage. This is biologically proven fact. I don’t deny  what you said on Indian sexual maturity.
I read, heard a lot about Indian urges. But couldn’t you see a smokescreen in Indian sexuality? It is hardly ‘see through’. But in the western societies nothing is hidden. Nothing is glorified. Divorces, rapes, early pregnancies (Papa! Don’t preach-Madonna in eighties), adulteries. Talk closely, to an American return. You will come to know (Presuming you are an Indian, and never visited west).
Please don’t you worry about whether am I still on denial or not. This is a little too personal. Don’t you think? You actually touched my ego asking the 'denial' question.

3.          I admit that the condom vending machines are actually good. You will find one in JNU, New Delhi also. One thing I ask you dear! Is abstinence so bad? I am telling to abstain from sex till you find your best partner and preferably after you got married. The lovemaking should turn the love into a baby. (Watch the movie ‘17 again’- I  reproduced the dialogue of the lead actor in his classroom on ‘Human Sexuality’).
About the age of consent- you are not clear. Are you talking about India or some other countries? Laws are man-made. In the beginning of this reply, I told about natural law. It is above all the laws.  If you be the law maker, you can even let your people mate at the age of 5.

4.    4. Obsolete education-
When India in was nuclear isolation, couldn’t we achieve a Fast breeder reactor? Couldn’t we excel the PWHRs? ISRO was started, when America claimed that they have landed the moon. Couldn’t we achieve chandraayan? Which professor took classes to our Indian scientists?
Yes! American Universities impart better education than anywhere else. But why to go there? All the foreign universities are coming to India. The universities bill was passed in our legislative houses.
You are talking about the cut-throat world. So you also wanna be one of ‘em. Don’t you?
MBA is a course teaching how to suck blood of the labour class without them feeling pain- a study of leech business. I don’t include the MBA (HR). Just think over it. You will understand. It seems your justification for studying in foreign universities, is money ,not  education.
MONEY! MONEY! MONEY!
In 1870, the disparity between the most developed and the least was 1:5 in all parameters. In 1990 it was 1:45. In the span of 120 years (from 1870 to 1990), the disparities between haves and have-nots grown 9 times. All because of the crazy race of the world for money. Money is equaled to labour. This equation lost its meaning in the crazy race. (Try reading the ‘Theory of Surplus’ by Marx).
5.                                                                                                                                                                            5. What IITs have done?
My dear! Where are you?  Go to the industrial clusters of Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Kolkata, and Mumbai-Surat conurbation. The IITians are doing great job for the country’s industrial development. I know many people from IITs running Million dollar industries and contributing excise duty.No comments on IIMs.

I still don’t deny the American universities’ contribution for America's progress.

You are very worried about a few suicides in the IITs and IIMs. I am worried about the  suicides of one lakh goddamn lives in 5 years. All peasants. In the strangle of money lenders, of banks, with no credit facility one lakh peasants were dead. Ask a loan for a car-you will get instantly. Try the same for a cow. You will come to know. The number one lakh, is more than the number of dead bodies in three Indo-Pakistan wars.

If they increase the fees of IIMs and IITs, boycott it. Study the same in a REC or any other govt college. I have talked to a few IIMians and IITians and understood how hollow they are.

My dear friend! I am talking the truth it is always bitter! My eyes are wide open, friend! I keep them wide till I shed tears! Again I keep them wide!
Read a bit more! Diversify your readings! Go back to your moral books what you studied in school! My morals may not suit to your ‘cut-throat world’. But morals are morals. Its not necessary for one to be in denial to advocate morals. If you want only to argue and oppose my opinions-as you wish. If you wanna understand the truth, try searching it.

I welcome your comments not as anonymous-but with your mail id.

Note:
Please do not think me a NATIONALIST with this reply. Actually I am not.

  1. Dear Oracle,

Firstly, you suggest that the US should keep bio metric data of the students and then if necessary track them down because they are not criminals. Please do not ,even for a minute think that I support the radio collaring of the students. But tell me , how are the US authorities going to track them down if a few of them do decide to just pack their bags and leave. Or maybe you haven't done your research properly.
Many of the students enrolled in that university, were working in some other state in the US. There were almost no lectures conducted on campus, and more or less no record of attendance kept. In a nutshell, the whole thing was a sham. Now if the US radio collars someone, who is enrolled in a university but is working 100s of miles away in another state...then why do you raise alarms??

Next, coming to your views on the sexual maturity ( even though it has nothing to do with the radio collaring incident).

You have commented that you were talking about the cultural decay in the western society. And you have given examples of teen pregnancies, rapes and divorces. tell me, which of the above mentioned menaces is not prevalent in India??? Every other day there are gang rapes, fathers raping their own daughters, and are you saying divorces do not exist in India?
I have a strong feeling after reading your posts that you will blame these incidents on western influence too.
I liked your comment "sex is a hidden treasure", maybe you should tell this to Vatsyayana who wrote the "kamasutra". As far as my limited knowledge goes, he was an Indian, isnt it??? And it is from the kamasutra that the western culture was made aware of the "hidden treasures" of sex in DETAIL. Dont you think then it is India you should blame for the so much sexed out western culture???
Next is about your quote from the movie 17 again. I did see the movie a long time back... and in the movie itself, the actor who spoke these lines had got his girlfriend pregnant while both of them were in school. Maybe next time you should quote someone more credible on abstinence.

I am not saying abstinence is bad. And in no way i support things leading to unwanted pregnancies, but it is happening all around us. Teenagers are having sex from an earlier age than compared to a few decades ago. So we cannot behave like an ostrich and bury our head in sand and imagine nothing is going around us.

On another note, please do a little research on the age of consent in different states in India, you seem to be a little behind the rest of the world.

But I did not understand how did i hurt your ego by asking if you are in denial of all these things happening around you?

I think it was a very stupid thing to ask what will happen if tomorrow the age of consent is changed to 5years. That I think you wrote just for the sake of argument. Any one with a little sense would know the answer to that. There is a saying a read somewhere..." Just because you have the rite to do something stupid, does not mean you should do it". I think that answers your question.

Next on the quality of education. I had stated that Indian colleges impart obsolete education. Maybe you did not get to hear about the news where the education minister in India had said, that it was very surprising that many colleges and schools are teaching the same obsolete things which were taught 50 years ago!!!! and that they needed to revamp the whole education system in India. The news channels made a pretty big deal out of it, maybe you missed it.

Yes India has proved itself in many sectors, even when we had US embargo in place. And it is something to be proud of. Ofcourse, Indians are not stupid, after all India was the birth place of many things modern society makes use of. But, i hope you know that 60% of the doctors and engineers in the US are INDIANS. Why the brain drain?? Why do they choose to go away? Must be a reason right.

Iam out of time today as i have to rush to my office. Will comment on the rest at the earliest.
